Let’s cut the crap: tariffs are back, and they’re coming in hot — like “sunburn-on-your-scalp-through-a-mesh-back-trucker” hot. For the apparel industry, this isn’t just some political chess game. It’s real dollars and real headaches. Whether you’re a brand ordering blanks or just trying to get your merch printed without mortgaging your future, these new tariffs could hit you right where it hurts — your margins.
At Hat Foundry, we saw this storm brewing. And while we can’t stop it (we’re decorators, not diplomats), we sure as hell can build a damn good umbrella. Here’s how we’re keeping our customers shielded from the worst of it:
1. We Built a Hat Hoard.
Like a squirrel hoarding acorns before a brutal winter, we bulked up on hats. Snapbacks, dad hats, truckers — if it goes on your head and makes you look cooler, it’s probably in our warehouse right now. Our stash is thicc.
2. We Didn’t Stop at Hats.
We went full prepper mode. Supplies? Stocked. Shirts? So many shirts. Enough shirts to clothe a small indie band and their entire fanbase. We’re not just ready — we’re embarrassingly overprepared.
3. Zero Tariff Charges to Customers.
While some companies are out here using tariffs as an excuse to bump prices, we’re not passing those costs onto you. Instead, we’re eating a little margin. Our accountant is sweating. Our CEO is skipping that new pair of jeans. (They weren’t even raw selvedge, it’s fine.)
4. Cash is King.
Now for the slightly weird bit: we do have to tack on a 4% fee for credit card transactions. Or, more accurately, you get a 4% discount when you pay cash. However you spin it, the math works out the same — and if you want to keep your budget lean, cash is the way to go. Old school, baby.
So What Does This Mean for You?
In short: we’ve got your back. While the industry scrambles, we’re staying cool, stocked, and ready to decorate. Our goal is to make sure you can still deliver awesome apparel to your customers without getting crushed by new costs or delays.
We’ll keep grinding behind the scenes so you can keep selling, styling, and thriving.
Tariffs suck. We don't.
Let’s keep making cool shit.
